Posting & Delivering Antiques & Collectables

Hi

We have recently launched a website which specialises in UK and Continental deliveries of parcels, and especially all those items which are too big to send by Post.

We have over 600 couriers registered throughout the UK, covering from Fraerburgh to Falmouth. You put your job up on the boxby website, and the couriers quote to you. It's very competitive and typical delivery prices are around £45.

Parcel prices are also simple, cheap and offer a good level of reliability and service.

HI

We had a really good week at Swinderby this week, and the feedback we received from dealers regarding our parcel and delivery services for the larger items was fantastic.

All I can say, is that I am looking forward to April, where we are going to go and meet everyone at Newark.

It's been a couple of years since we've been to these two trade fairs, and its really good to see a bit of a positive buzz about the place again. Are the Americans buying again? The one thing that really sur

Fireplaces

Good afternoon all,

I have recently moved into a 1930's house and the original fireplaces are still there. They not really to my taste so I am looking to move them on but how can I find out more information about them?

One is a wooden highly polished surround with a tiled section in the middle, the other is completely tiled with green marble type tiles and lots of art deco style detail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Military style swords

Hi,
I have two military swords that need some cleaning up but I have been told not to do this myself.

They are long swords and have fancy handles and have dates and engraved patterns on them. One of the swords also has a metal case. I know nothing about their value but would like to sell them on as we are emigrating shortly.

If anyone would like to see photographs or can advise me I would be really greatful.
Cheers!
